it seems that velvet is part of holiday time as much as eggnog & gingerbread. well, let me be the first to say that i hate velvet. i know thats a strong word. but i do. it makes my teeth hurt. i understand the appeal, the warmth & natural richness of the fabric conveys subtle luxury. and wintertime is definitely a season for textures. so, i totally get it. but still, makes my skin crawl.
